Hi there my piggies aren't sick thank god but should there come a time I will be taking them to the PDSA vets in Wolverhampton. Does anyone have any experience of the care and knowledge of the vets regarding guinea pigs at this practice? They looked after my dog wonderfully until it came time to let her go. I just wondered if anyone who may have used the practise had a favourite vet there.

Not a practice I have used in Wolverhampton. I have had poor experiences with St Georges but other than that I don't know.

I know there are a few of us from Wolves on here and I use Connaught House for Day to day stuff or Taylor & Marshall in Shiffnal (a very experienced exotics vet) for more complex stuff. Guinea Pig Slave uses them too. I know Mr & Mrs Sport Billy use a vet called Rosie in Wombourne (don't know the practice name). The other very good exotics vet in the area is Manor Vets in Edgebaston (they also have a branch in Halesowen), Marie there is very good.

As Merrypip says above, there are quite a few good vets near us in Wolves. Rosie at Wombrook vets in Wombourne is amazing. They are really reasonable on prices and she is very cavy savvy and is great at dental work even conscious.

We have good experience at st georges in sedgley but that may be because I can be managerial and tell the vet what she should be looking for anf not taking no for an answer.

I only tried the one in Wolverhampton in an emergency situation and the medical advice was ok but the attitude stunk!

Wolverhampton was where we had to take Sunshine as an emergency and advised PTS. Sedgley is okay but touch wood the in house husbandry is keeping them healthy. (And I now know the way to TEAS)
