Peanut residue on hay

This may be a silly question, but my dad was digging through the piggies' hay bag to look for the seed heads. I noticed, though, that he was eating peanuts before digging through the hay. Is it fine if the piggies taste some of the peanut residue on the hay? Are they allergic to peanuts?

Hi! While nuts should not be part of a piggy's diet (too high in fat), they are not poisonous.

Yes, you are OK to give the hay. Pick out any peanuts that you come across but do not worry and do not dig through the hay like a mad person!
