Hi I have read that pigs can safely eat parts of pear trees. I’ve just cut this off the pear tree in my garden and wanted to make sure all parts were safe for my pigs to nibble on?
Thanks in advance 😊

Yes, it should be fine for them, providing it hasn't been sprayed with any chemicals. Just make sure there's no insects etc on it before handing it over.
Some piggies love fresh branches.

As above, but check for signs of bird poo on the branches too, don't let them have any with bird poo on as it can have bacteria/parasites in the poo.

Not sure on the lichen though? @teddymouse any idea?

Mine love apple twigs :)

On my phone I didn't notice the lichen ... I can see it now I'm using my PC. I would remove it, better safe than sorry. I can also see better now that some of the leaves are a bit brown, I would remove those and let them have only the fresh green ones just in case.
