Pebbles lost 66 grams, in a week? Do you think this is anything to worry about? She is perfectly happy in herself, eating, wheeking and generally herself.

I would keep an eye on her- One of my pigs weight went down by 150g once over a period of 4 weeks- i made an appointment at the vets for her for the following week- but she then gained and gained after that- Vet said she was perfectly fine.

If you're concerned weigh her more often and if she continues to loose weight i would call the vets :)

Hope this helps x

I weigh her weekly, shall keep a close eye, but I haven't noticed any odd behaviour. She seems perfectly fine, I may have to start asking questions if she loses anymore.

My piggies weight can fluctuate up or down by 2-3 ounces. Its never went beyond this except when my first piggie Bob was very ill. If Pebbles is eating fine then if may be she is just burning off the food, maybe frolicking with Fred?

Does it make any difference to weight if a pig changes the ratio of hay/ nuggets/ fresh food? Just wondered if she'd been filling up on hay and if this is less fattening so to speak?
Hope you don't mind me asking Joanne, just curious. Hopefully Pebbles will have put it all back on by next week. x

Shes always eating, and I weighed her after veggies so technically speaking she should have been heavier, but a pee can be 30grams, I think she is probably ok, but I will be monitoring her just incase.

In answer to your question I think it is possible... but there is 100% no difference in her behaviour. She probably just ran about more :)).

I agree, weighing in grams can be worrying at times as any losses/gains seem bigger than they really are. I'm sure she's just pigging out on the hay (less fattening as flips said) and pottering about more. :)
