My piggy is more than 1 year old, she's still a little shy now. When I want to pick her up, she usually tries to hide, but once she's out side, I can put her in my lap and hand-feed her.
However, she can only stay in my lap for 5-10 minutes then she wriggles and stare at me and I know she has to pee so I put her back in her cage. She can lay in her cage for hours but seem like she has to pee continuously when she's out. Why?
(She has never peed on me by the way.)

Hi my sons guinea pig does exactly the same thing, I think its a nervous thing, we put ours back in his cage and once hes done his buisness we pick him up again, so that he learns that wanting a pee doesnt mean he can get out of bein handled. Its an ongoing process at the mo as we only got him in September when he was 6mnths old and had hardly ever been handled, but his cage is in the kitchen and hes startin to get use to us and will even come to the side of the cage to sniff around as well as stick his head in the fridge lookin for his favourite food, romanian lettuce. Just keep persisting, she'll get use to it.

I agree sounds like it might be nerves! Why not bring her back out once she has done her business so she doesn't just use it as a way to get out of snuggling!
