Esse had a roam around the conservatory whilst i cleaned her run ; and she ate a couple of pelargonium petals that had fallen to the floor. The plant hasn't been treated with anything . She obviously enjoyed them and was looking for more ! I know untreated rose petals are ok so my query is are most petals safe to eat ?

Some can be really bad but I'm not so sure about those ones just make sure she has no more until you know more on them and if she has any problems if I was you I would probably take her to the vet. I hope I helped ☺️

I’ve looked on the internet a little about this, but couldn’t find this on lists of safe or poisonous plants for guinea pigs, so I agree with the person above me. Don’t give any more, and closely monitor for any signs of a problem. Maybe someone more experienced with plants and forage and things like that can help you a little better with this? Good luck!

I would err on the side of caution just to be safe.

Wild geraniums are safe to eat and they are part of the same family so they probably have done her no harm but I don't know for sure so would avoid letting her have more.

If a plant is poisonous it's petals are most likely poisonous too. For example lilies, which are part of the onion family (and highly toxic to cats also)
