Has anyone tried the Bunny GP Dream Basic guinea pig food?
It looks really good (a bit more expensive) but a good quality pellet.

I really can't decide which one to use long-term (obviously depending on what the pigs will eat of course)
It's between Bunny Dream Basic, Versele-Laga Cavia complete, Rosewood Naturals menu, Oxbow.and possibly Selective Naturals Grain-Free.

Any thoughts?

That's great thanks, actually the JR Farm one looks good I think I'll give that a try. I'm thinking of making an order up on Zooplus and getting some nibble grass to grow in the trays, that will be a good option now the weathers getting colder.

I have been informed that zooplus tend to be the cheapest for carrot cottages if you are looking to spend even more pennies :))

Loving the name "abytude" too. Nothing like an aby :)

It happens to us all! I started with two... just two... then it went to three... four... even five at one stage when someone needed to get rid and no one would take him cos he was too "ugly". Four is my max now though
 
I can see how it's so easy to 'acquire' more piggies in need. I have been on Gumtree and Preloved looking for a run for the garden and there are loads of poor little piggies on there looking for homes. I totally understand that people need to rehome their pets due to certain circumstances, but the reasons that some people give are not acceptable really, such as "my children outgrew them" fgs they are not a pair of shoes! Same with Youtube, it's great to watch cute videos and get ideas, but there are some videos that upset me, people buying pigs as presents and putting them in a box for squealing kids to open the gps must be terrified! tiny 'starter' cages, no hay in the cage. A lot of the time I don't think people mean any harm to the pigs but they don't research before they buy them. Our pigs are our daughters' pets but they are part of the family and we are all responsible for them.

I'm sure your little boy pig isn't ugly, I bet he is really cute!

I went on one of those online sites searching for piggies as there are so few rescue centres in Scotland. Very few of the adverts were ever answered never mind that the people shouldn’t have had animals in the first place! Now being strong willed and don’t even have a look now. Just makes me worry!

I know, I try and do the same now, I try and search for something specific that I want to know as I hate seeing mistreated animals as it plays on my mind.

I know. That’s why I shut down my Facebook account as I was sent a post about dogs being netted and eaten! I didn’t sleep for 3 nights. The World is full of cruelty. X
