Hi guys...

Due to recent circumstances I will no longer purchase anything from Pets@home... which has caused a little bit of a problem as I feed my girls pellets and hay from pets at home (Timothy Hay 1.8kg | Pets At Home) which they love.

Can anyone recommend some good quality pellets and hay please? I guess I may start ordering online rather than going to shops as I am finding hay really expensive to buy for such a small bag...

I purchased some https://www.jollyes.co.uk/vitakraft-premium-timothy-hay.html which looks okay.
Has anyone tried this guinea pig food? https://www.jollyes.co.uk/harringtons-optimum-guinea-pig-food-2kg.html

Thanks :)

I can't help as this is what I use but I know others on here will be able to help

I use Harringtons and I was recommended this by my local rescue years ago 10kg for £12. I also buy my hay from a local farm as it much cheaper at only £4 per bale. Much longer strands too.

If funds allow I do sometimes treat them to Ings hay from Hay For Pets too www.hayforpets.co.uk They do also do meadow and Timothy. All bales are available in different sizes to suit your budget x

I use the burgess nuggets with mint , and have been using hay for pets ings hay, the hay is long strands and they love it as they like to sit inside it and make a house , they bury away and have fun. Also the Timothy hay with marigolds from b and m is quite good ,nice and green but softer so maybe not for every day.
To be honest I thought the pets at home hay was a bit yellow, but mine loved the nuggets , now I weaned them off them on to burgess.

I use vitacraft emotion nuggets which I buy online from ZooPlus. I also buy the Ings hay from hayforpets which has been recommended already. Others on here buy from Dust Free Hay which might be worth looking at.

Oh forgot to say, I started out with hay I used to buy from The Range (if you prefer a shop to online). It was cheap and the piggies liked it. I couldn't go back to it myself after the Ings hay from hay for pets as the quality is so much better in that Ings hay but the hay from the Range compares well against the own brand hay from P@H.

I get most of hay and food and most other stuff from viovet , and some medow and thimathy hay for pets (igns ect )

I used Ings from hay for pets for 8 of my guinea's and meadow hay from B&M for my other two guinea's. The hay isn't bad quality from B&M to say how cheap it is. I also buy pellets in bulk with us having 10 guinea's, I was getting them from Amazon but they have started charging over £4 for a normal delivery so I'll be looking for another supplier.

I run a rescue & when I'm changing from a supermarket brand of pellets I give mine a choice of Harrington's, Excel with Mint or Excel with Blackcurrant & Oregano. I rate these 3 the best of the easy available pellets. For hay, I suggest find a good farm or equestrian supplier & try a bale of hay. Some do sell it in large bin bags :) x

I know what you mean with the hassle of going to the store. I couldn't stand doing it anymore especially when I decided to get more guinea's and my hay/pellet stock seemed to be diminishing by the minute. That's when I found these guys, Timothy Hay for Small Animals | Small Pet Select, and I absolutely LOVE them (efficient and very personable) and my guinea's seriously can't get enough of their Timothy Hay and pellets.
