Is it just me or does 1/8 of a cup of pellets look miserable. Of course the piggies must share a bowl even if I put one bowl each out. Currently they are getting 1/8 of a cup in a bowl in the morning to share and 1/8 of a cup at night to share, I figure thats roughly 1/8 of a cup a day per pig according to the back of packet but sometimes I see pics of one piggie eating these giant bowls of pellets and I feel like i'm starving the poor things.

That's a good amount , it will encourage them to eat the all important Thimathy hay , mine have much more in there bowls
But there are now well used to eating and in fact enjoy Alfafa king Thimathy as much , if not more than there pellet's

I think it looks fine.
In fact I had this exat same conversation with my daughter (the piggies main care giver) just last night.
Ours are now a year old, and their weights have pretty much stabilised, and I think Ruby might be getting a little 'tubby'.
So I told DD that we have to start to measure out their pellets and not just randomly put large handfuls of pellets into the cage every time they week.
We weighed out the recommended amount and DD was horrified. She thinks the piggies will pack their bags and ove out if we give them so few pellets!
But they have lots (and lots) of decent hay all the times, plus a large bowl of fresh veg once a day, plus fresh grass, so I think they will survive.
But as we limit their pellets I will make sure we weigh them at least once a week to keep n eye on things.

These fuss pots like the Alfalfs King Timothy hay too. We cant get a packet over 465gms here though but I dont mind to much so long as they eat it, they have the Kaytee brand timothy hay to start tonight so hopefully they will like it.

I had to go on a epic search for a measuring cup set with a 1/8 of a cup measuring cup. Was almost impossible but I found one eventually.

The amount does look right - if you want to make it look more change to a smaller bowl - that's what I did when I found my OH was giving too many pellets. Or you can measure and then weigh the 1/8 of a cup of pellets so that you know how many grams it equates to. But you are doing the right thing giving the right amount split across the day.

Somewhere here I read 10gms per piggie per day. I use an egg cup that holds 10gms when filled to the brim. Mine get one cup full in the morning and one in the evening, the little monkeys know the time and stand in the cage on the spot where the bowl goes and Peanut wheeks loudly as soon as they hear me moving around.

Patchy the pellet pig lets me know when she requires pellets, could be half an hour after veg or an hour after but she will start zooming around the cage and wheeking so loud I'm sure the whole neighborhood can hear her then Coco will get all excited and she will start too.

An eighth cup is fine, one in the morning and one in the evening. Just measure it by that, you can get measuring spoons in local shops in baking isles.
