Hi all.

My pig, Jon Snow, has what the vet calls the pig equivalent of IBS. His tummy rumbles quite a lot, I have hear little pops coming from his tum, and occasionally he'll have "heaving hiccups". Certain veg like tomatoes and dill aggravate it.

The vet says there's nothing we can do for him, but I do give him probiotic if he's having a flare up, and he has a daily Oxbow Digestive Support tablet.

He currently has Harringtons, which Asda no longer sells, and Oxbow, which I can only get online and my current job is a bit fussy for having stuff delivered to work.

I wonder if anyone had an recommendations. Burgess kind of puts me off as it has mint or blackcurrant in them and I don't know what that would do to his tum. And he used to have Science Selective but they get stuck on his teeth.

How about Nature's feast? It's a small pellet and is grass based. Very new on the scene as I can only get it from Pets at home.

I popped in to have a look at that one and the dried veg puts me off a bit.

I remember years ago getting stomach cramp from eating too much dried apple. Not sure if it'll be too concentrated for his stomach?!

I've not used this service so can't recommend - but , how about using a parcel collection point ?

If you buy your products from Amazon, there's doddle ...

And I think eBay use Argos for parcel collection.

Some couriers will allow you to collect from a depot but, it depends what courier the seller uses.

Nature's feast like Bunny GuineaPigDream BASIC |, Vitakraft Emotion Professional Prebiotic Guinea Pig,
JR Farm Grainless Complete Guinea Pig and the Fibafirst pellets, my guinea pigs wont touch.

You can get Harringtons online easily enough though.

Don't you have a neighbour who would take your parcels in? I leave a tiny note on my front door that says which address to take to if no answer.

jolleys and vet uk do harringtons, usually leave in a safe place and cheap.asda and tescos pellets are very similar to harringtons pellets.wilkos have started to do harringtons as well, there own pellets are good.x

I would try a grainless pellet though I can't guarantee he will eat it. Worth a try though. The Vitakkraft one used to be great but has been discontinued.

I agree that grainless is your best bet, but you will need to get them online.

Iv found bunny and JR farm grainless to be the most palatable.. They probably wont touch them for a few days but they eventually will, you just have to wait it out!
