My guinea pigs are between 6 and 9 months of age and I am currently feeding them Oxbow Young Guinea Pig food. Is that a good food and when should I switch them to regular?

@autumne I'd swap them to the adult Oxbow food now , well slowly not all at once. The young version is higher in alfalfa which adult pig don't need.

Oxbow is a good food, it's ridiculously expensive over here in the UK so there's not many who use it.

Thank you! I will start to do that. The reason I am feeding them this food is 1) When I bought them, I was told they were being fed that and it would be good to continue, and 2) I live in the USA so the price isn't too high.

When swapping over food do it gradually over a couple of weeks by adding in a few more pellets of the new food into the old food each day to get their taste buds and their tummies used to the new stuff. At the end of the two weeks (some people do it over a week - I've always done 2 cos I have fussy piggies!) they should be eating the new food entirely.
