Hi everyone,
I have recently put my girls on Science Select grain free pellet ,i couldn't find a large bag . So i decided to e.mail the company ,they were very quick at getting back to me but it turns out they don't do any other size than 1.5kg. I find this very strange as there other range they do.They didn't say we are thinking of doing so (pain) . Sorry a bit of a moan.

Pellets are a bit like breakfast cereals for storage, once they are opened they can go stale or soggy in a few weeks. How many piggies do you have and how many pellets do you feed that you need a bigger bag?
We buy a 1.5kg bag of science selective grain free pellets and it lasts 6 piggies about 6 weeks... we just get a monthly "subscribe and save" order of a bag from Amazon...

I agree. If you have lots of piggies, then I can imagine it is annoying not being able to buy big bags but just a few piggies it really is best to buy smaller bags so they get used quickly.

Thank you for replying, i agree. I do keep mine it in the bag and in a air tight container to keep it as fresh as i can. As for how much i fill there small bowl about half way.I just feel it might be a bit cheaper on a bag about 3kg and i can order it at the same time as the dog food witch in its self would be cheaper. But the main point is it would be nice to have a choice like in there other guinea pig pellets they do. I love your pictures of your guinea pigs give them an extra cuddle from me.
