Blooberry
Junior Guinea Pig
Can I ask a few basic questions having read the guidance on feeding pellets again. We have switched to science selective grain free pellets (No alfalfa) and because we have a 5mth old (joined us in Jan) and 2 6mth olds and a 2yr old; one of questions is, do younger piggies (up to 6mths) need alfalfa based pellets? The guidance for under 6mths is circa 40g a day and for piggies from 12mths onwards 10g. So from 6mths onwards piggies should be weaned down to 10g a day? Or a table spoon? We have separate bowls for all 4 piggies and I tend to split allowance into 2 feeds. (No stealing). Just want to make sure my youngsters are getting enough for growth? I may have misunderstood the guidance - still not sure what we do between 6mths and 12mths. Sorry if I’m being dense.
