Hi, guinea pigs should only have a tablespoon of pellets per pig per day and only makes up 5% of their diet with veggies making up 15% and the other 80% being hay so as long as they’re eating plenty of hay and otherwise appear healthy, I wouldn’t be concerned about them not eating many pellets
Thank you they normally eat the pellets in the morning but not touched it i think they love there hay just gave there veg and they not refused it at all I think there changing there routine now they have better quality hay
Hello! I would have to agree with Claire. The pellets should only make up a portion of your guinea pigs diet. As long as they get enough hay, I wouldn't worry about it. If you are concerned about them not getting enough fiber, buy timothy-based pellets which you can find at your local pet store. I get my guinea pig pellets from the Oxbow company.
