Not sure where to put this so apologies if it's in the wrong section. My piggy penny has a history of biting after being given her meds. I've been very careful and haven't been bit by her in a long time. I don't hold her very often because she is prone to this. Today I decided to hold her for a bit because it was nice out I wanted her to be able to sniff by the window. I noticed she had something stuck to her paw like a piece of bedding. When trying to clean that off within a few seconds she bit me hard and deep. Trying to get my finger to stop bleeding. I don't think I need stitches, but I may get it checked out just in hopes of reducing the likelihood of infection. Not her fault. I'm not mad at her. But it will make typing a bit more difficult which is a big part of my job so that stinks. Does anyone have any tips for helping this heal up quickly?
 
Ouch. I’m sorry Penny has bitten you. She’s not herself at the moment. I take ages to heal so can’t offer any advice. Sorry. Hope you heal quick.
 
Saw a doctor. He does not think it needs any stitches which is good. 5 days of antibiotics just in case to ward off the chance of infection. The thanks I get for trying to clean Penny's paw. Seriously, I held her for all of 2 minutes max. No good deed goes unpunished I suppose.
 
Glad no stitches were needed.
A biting pig makes it difficult to help her.
