I went over to Teresa's last night as she has kindly offered to look after Zephyr's orphaned babies while I am away. Not many people you could ask to do that, but I had 3 offers of help - Teresa, Vikki and Laura all offered to help if needed, which is just so kind :)

So, I get to Teresa's house and there is a parcel there, addressed to me but posted to Teresa (she had already told me there was a parcel for me and I couldn't imagine what it was!) and inside was a very kind donation towards Zephyr's vets bill and 2 lovely fleece beds - gorgeous colours and very snug looking! I left the beds with Teresa to use for Zephyr's babies as they do love snuggling up on fleece. So, a BIG thank you to Flips - how amazing that someone you have never met can do something so kind :) As Teresa said, the generosity of people like this balances out the dreadful people we often have to deal with in piggy rescue!

And another lovely thing - when we had the recent lot of ringworm infested pigs and were having to bath them every 3 days in quite nasty shampoo, Nutmeg sent me a lovely parcel with some very yummy handwash and moisturiser, which I've been using every day! :)

So thank you to all you lovely people that do such nice things for people that you've never met - you restore our faith in human nature!

Well it's funny because the babies that are with the mum that Teresa let me borrow are just gorgeous and one of those almost didn't go back.... trying to work out how I can squeeze him in! And I know Teresa likes the little dark roan baby boar.... hmm, we'll see who comes back! :))

Great to hear you're getting a little payback and being rewarded for all the wonderful work you do. It can't be easy when you encounter such sad situations on a regular basis, so to have somebody make your life easier and brighten your day is a lovely gesture which I'm sure you fully deserve! :)

That's so lovely, I think Zephyr's babies have a growing army of "Aunties" looking out for them!

Piggie people are the best.
 
Enjoy your break Sophie you truely deserve it! What with the guineas and the new house/mini farm you have had so much on your plate huge hugs and have some fun :))

Same from me - have a great time and dont worry about Zephyrs babies - I promise I'll look after them...............................when you return I'll have moved, left no forwarding address or contact phone number and your babies will have mysteriously vanished with me ..........................:))

The little black/roan boy is just gorgeous :x

You do make me smile - somehow even when you must see such awful things in the work that you do, you all still retain that sense of humour which bounces back to all of us ... xx>>>
