This morning I woke to find my old lady in eternal sleep.

She has been through alot. When I got her I found her stuck in mesh when she was only a pup. I fell in love with her the moment i picked her tiny body up.
Since she had cateract problems and was constantly being bullied by her cagemates.

She had an accidental pregnancy and a very traumatic birth in which she lost all four babies and nearly her own life. But thankfully for Chris and Titch at Castle Cavies she was able to live. She was very depressed for a while and needed loads of TLC.

She came back to live with her friend Sugar, who didn't live long after that. Sugar passed away from kidney failure. Peppa was full of greif, from her four lost babies and now from Sugar, and she couldn't live with chess because chess bullied her.

I took her indoors and she thrived and grew happier by the day. She had been slowing down the last couple of days and this morning my room was a little too quiet.

I lifted her pigloo to find her asleep, yet she would not wake.

I'm so glad she drifted off in her sleep and didnt have to leave us like poor Sugar and Crumbs did.

Poor Peppa sounds like she'd been though a lot in her life, bless her. Sending you lots of love too must have been devestating to find her.
