I didn't know guinea pigs could eat peppers until i stumbled across this forum. Does it matter if the peppers are green or red? can they eat the stalk and also the wee seeds inside? I'm going to see if my two like them this week for a wee change as they are so fussy!

My lot has pepper every day. I cut it up, taking out the seeds.
Green peppers can be fed daily, orange and yellow are higher in sugar and with red having higher sugar contents best to feed less often - fantastic Vitamin C content, and all my piggies love them. :)

great thanks very much. I will try them with the green ones and hope that they like them.

ooops thanks for this thread; I have been feeding minered pepers daily; shall swap to green more often!

My buns love them too; they always have the juice dribble down their chins; hehe!

Till I came to this forum I didnt realise you could feed peppers to pigigies either, i thought they were allways too spicy!

Well I gave mine a few little bits the other day, I stood by nervoulsy with some waster and wet lettuice incase they started squeeking and complaining about them being too spicy.
They ate them, they didnt hate them, but they werent particularly fussy, either.

I tried my two with a bit of pepper last night at bed time. woke up this morning and they haven't touch them. I think they are too fussy and probably a bit spoilt haha x

None of my four eat peppers, I keep giving to them in the hope they'll come round, they've had green peppers this morning but as of yet are untouched!

guinea pigs are so smart. They know that if they don't eat them then we give in and give them something they like haha
