My girls have just decided that they love peppers, they only have the red/orange or yellow. Now I know it's one of the better veg for them, but is it ok for them as a daily part of their diet. ?

Yes, it is. :) I feed my lot peppers all the time, they are very good because they are one of the few foods containing good vitamin C that dont need to be limited to once a week! However i would advice you feed something different but high in vitamin C (carrots etc) once a week so they dont get bored (you dont want them going off it! :D )

Thanks, they do have a fairly varied diet but because of Maisie's stomach problem finding things that they like and are unlikely to cause a digestive problem is difficult. So them deciding they like peppers makes things easier.

Yes, it is - one slice of pepper (any colour, although red and green are the favourites) every day is taking care of your vitamin C. Mine get it daily, too.

just be careful as red ones are higher in sugar than the rest green ones are the best :) less sugar but high vitamin c :) corriander is high in vitamin c and can be fed daily

I don't think any of mine will ever go off peppers, they go absolutely mad for them! Any colour, any time xoxo

yes our love peppers too, grab it and all run in different directions, heads lifted high, it is so funny to watch! they do the same with melon skins.

Misty does that - but carries things horizontally so ricochets off the hidey she is running to! It is sooo funny! :)) :)) :))

My guinea pigs pick up peppers and throw them against the wall if I try and introduce them into their diet... I've taken that as a "no".

didnt know they could have peppers , might get them some of them see if they like them, does anyone know if rabbits can have them as well?

ive tried both of mine with peppers but they dont like them at all. they just leave them! fussy piggies! rolleyes

I had the same problem with my orginal girls Rosie and Rum they were fussy. Since the new girls came along that are not fussy Rosie and Rum eat peppers now. Peer pressure works for veg it seems lol

Just tried my boys with red peppers they looked at it and ran away haha there scared of it

Mine all love peppers. They can be expensive to buy but I usually go for the cheaper Asda peppers which are absolutely fine just slightly smaller or mis-shapen compared to the individually peppers they sell.

Do you have a market near you at all? you can usually pick up between 4-6 peppers for £1 or a Lidl store, they have them cheaply sometimes too :)

My guinea-pig loves peppers, any colour though red is her favourite. Unfortunately red makes her very hyper from all the suger so I try to limit it to green instead.

Mine love their peppers. You can get a bag of about 10 peppers in iceland for £2! they are mis shapen one's but who cares when your chopping them up?

Sure you all already know this but just wanted to mention that they mustn't eat the pips inside the pepper!
