I found Pepsi dead this morning and rushed coca to the vet but they said it would be best to put him to sleep.

They were never the healthiest pigs but I raised them from the day they were born and they'll always mean to world to me...

Rest in peace fur babies x

BIG HUGS

I am so sorry! What a horrible shock for you!
Has your vet any idea what has happened? The bloody ears are not quite usual - whether it is an illness, poison or something else.

Please take the time to read our grieving guide, which @sport_billy has linked in for you; you will hopefully find it helpful in the coming days and weeks while you have to digest it all. Try to picture Pepsi and Cola together at the Rainbow Bridge; the way they would have preferred to go - even if it is all the harder for you to cope with both the loss and the shock of their unexpected deaths.

Be kind to yourself. It is all our nightmare because is not something we can ever foresee and therefore never prevent. Please never let out of sight that you have given both a very loving and caring home and many happy days - which is how guinea pigs measure their life by!

RIP Pepsi and Cola

I have a free roaming ferret that broke out of her cage, got into their room and, I'm not sure how, managed to get into their cage despite it being kept 5ft high for safety :(

Luckily (or as lucky as you can be in this situation) she didn't get to my other three girls. The only reason she managed to get those two is partially blind and has some neurological issues and the other was in a pen waiting to be neutered so he had no where to run to...

The one's left are really shaken up other than one but an earthquake wouldn't scare her. She's the most chilled Guinea pig I've ever met, sorry for ranting about it, it was just really upsetting to see and most people get a little frustrated or upset themselves when I try to vent

Things always seem to go wrong with my pigs so it's hard not to feel like a horrible owner but I do really care about them and I try to keep them as safe and happy as possible

Oh dear! So sorry for your loss, sending you hugs, what a shock for you x
perhaps your little ferret needs a secure hutch, don’t blame him as it’s only his nature

So very sorry to hear of such a tragic double loss.
Be gentle with yourself and allow yourself time to grieve for them.

Oh dear. Such a shame for you. The ferret was clearly on a mission. Has she now been safely secured away from the other piggies?

Yes of course :( I'm moving her outside, I'll never let her get anywhere near the pigs again. I hope there'll be no more issues, it's too sad

Sorry for your loss. I know this doesn't help but ferrets are good climbers, for starters they can stand very tall because they have such long bodies, what a shock 😕

I read that they can't climb a 3ft flat surface so I made a 5ft flat surface to be safe. Evidently not safe enough :(

Clever little . I do love ferrets but they are viscous little . Guess it's what comes natural to them. Sorry

Please try not to feel guilty, you weren’t to know this would happen x Ferets are mini carnivores, they are so agile, intelligent and can climb to get into birds nests. So sorry for you x
