One of my two rescued Guinea pigs passed away last night. Both Percival and Gwaine were expected to be around 6 years old but we're both very healthy. After going out to do my evening check on them, I found Percival lying at the top of his ramp, dead. Gwaine was shrieking and nudging my other piggie, who I left for a few minutes before lifting out and bringing inside. Now, Gwaine is more skittish and I wonder whether I should bring her inside instead of leaving her in her Guinea-shed. Rest in peace little Percival, you lively and chubby pig xx

Is it possible to bring both of them in, they have both had a severe shock. Maybe could come in for plenty of TLC

I am so sorry for your loss. What an awful shock. I would indeed bring Gwaine inside. Please have a read of this thread here on how to help bereaved piggies Looking After A Bereaved Guinea Pig Please make sure they are eating okay

Sleep well little boy

RIP Percival

Gwaine is now living inside, and has become very affectionate and calm in the past week. He stopped making any sounds after Percival passed but now he is as talkative as ever. Thank you for your help and support
