Personalities of your Piggies?

I thought i would start off a thread in relation to our personailities of our piggies.

Scruffy is such a grumpy pig and gets ssoo moody all the time. Max is such a lovely cute pig but takes everything to heart and gets upset so easily when Scruffy has a go at him

Today Max ran into the hammock whilst Scruffy was in there, so Scruffy had a go at him and chased him down the ramp! Poor little Max - now hes all upset.

Scruffy is constantly having a little nip when Max snuggles next to him, its not a bite, just a nudge and he just lays there all the time, being lazy whilst Max bounces around the cage full of energy! Scruffy does it to my finger when my hand gets too near his face and something even the remote control when yo move it near him! its so funny!

What are your piggies like?
 
Connie is a laid back pig with a big personality. She doesn't like to be caught but will snuggle up and be cuddled for as long as she is allowed. She loves her 'sister' and will wheak from the top of her lungs when they are separated. She is sometimes nervous but a quick cuddle usually calms her down. She is a fussy eater and prefers leafy veg and grass to anything else.

Eliza has a big personality but enjoys her own space more than Connie. She likes to be picked up but begins to get restless after about 10 minutes of cuddle time. She is an explorer and would much rather go off exploring rather than sit and be cuddled. She also misses her 'sister' when separated and will wheak as loud as possible until they are reunited. She is a bossy pig and will push Connie in order to get her own way. She is also a fussy eater, but luckily enjoys the same veg as her sister.
 
Ruby - she LOVES her food and is a little bit pocessive! Maggie-May is her playmate according to Ruby! She is mostly quiet, but when she wants to be heard she is LOUD! She also thinks she's a human. She's our tamest girl and smiles at you all the time! She also is thwe hairdresser and especially loves to cut bethany's hair!

Pheobe - she is everybodys' friend, she loves a good stroke, but hates being picked up. She is vocal most of the time, she shouts at me if she sees i'm in their room (our lounge) but I haven't gone over and said HI straight away, bless her! She is most definately a daddy's girl and loves cuddles in bed.

Bethany - she is the outcast of the group as she likes to be on her own most of the time. she is always chatting when she is cuddled, but doesn't chat too much in the cage. She loves her sister Maggie-May to bits, she also likes Ruby and Pheobe lots, but she's shy and not pushy. When you've got her out for cuddles, she likes to explore and usually likes to sit on your shoulder! She loves to have her hair cut by Ruby!

Maggie-May - she's a right tinker, if she sees the others sleeping and she is not, she'll go over to them and shout at the top of her voice to wake them up! She absolutely adores Ruby and seems to look up to her, she also loves Pheobe and Bethany,but she doesn't miss them when they're not there. Maggie is definately the most vocal and is a drama queen. She runs away if you try to stroke her or pick her up, but once you've got her she absolutely loves having cuddles and would stay on you all day, though she seems to prefer it if you've got Ruby out too!

Tinker has an inferiority complex and is slightly socially challenged. He will only tolerate Leo and no other guinea pig.

Leo has little pig syndrome and always thinks he is bigger than he is! He will run up to the dog or the rabbit and start squeeking at them as if he is saying "follow me, come play with me". He is also very vocal but turned Simon Cowell down for a record deal as he wanted to stay true to his roots!

Franklin is a bit of a poser and likes his burberry far too much. Get a camera out and he is there in a flash. Vogue wanted to piggy nap him but seeing as he has a fear of travelling he would never make a model.

Benjamin is the shy quiet type. He goes with the flow and follows the pack. Quiet happy munching on some hey. He has excellent karma and is destined to be the next guru of the group. Piggy diplomat in the making.

Thomas suffers from OCD and is totally obsessed with the water bottled in the cage. I think he is going to start giving out water tokens soon and allocating the other guinea pigs time slots! He is also as mad as a hatter and never walks but bounces from one side of the cage to the other. He is the boss of the food bowl and gets very distressed if food gets spilt and runs arround picking bits up and spitting them back in the bowl. He is the resident cleaner.

Nemo is a very laid back piggy and very friendly - he's lovely.
Iggy who is a sow is naughty. She is a lovely gentle pig but does like to be mischievous by picking her bowl up - which is one of those plastic ones that fits on the platform in her cage - and throwing it about. She is always begging for veggies but there are so many that she doesn't like - she doesn't like carrots, cabbage, tomatoes. Lettuce is definitely her favourite.rolleyes
Ginger is also a lovely piggy but you have to be careful where you touch him because he is inclined to nip you if you move quickly or touch him where he doesn't want to be touched.rolleyes

I haven't really got to know the personalities of the other five yet because we haven't had them for that long.:)
 
aw all of these are such a lovely read!

keep adding people! its amazing how different they all are! :)

i only know mine so well because I used to only work 28 hours ove 4 days a week, so i got to watch and interact with mine all the time!
 
Here goes!

Moon-Pig aka The Moon, Mooner, Moonie, Bear-Pig, Proud Pig, Big Papa Moon!
Moonie is the big boss and is a real character. He lives with Sunny, our other Boar, and is chief rumbler. He loves being snuggled, and likes to sit just under your neck, spreading his bulky frame out so he's lying on his belly. He doesn't like having kisses though. He's very interested in watching and shouting at our little sows, and he sits just like a brown bear - he looks so proud, none of our other piggies have the same posture as him!

Sunny aka The Sun Pig, Sun Dog, Sunner
Moonie's brother - Sunny's a bit more submissive and happily lets Moonie rule the roost. He's a very handsome piggy and gives lots and lots of love, and loves cuddles. He loves exploring, and watching people. He'll purr when you rub his back for him, and loves snuggling with his brother. I think he loves the ladies too, and always tries to keep his eye on what they're doing.

Lily aka Little Lils, lilybub, Gingey, happy-pig
She's a happy pig! One of our three unrelated sows, she worried us a bit when we first got her as she is totally nuts. Normally babies take a little time to get used to their new surroundings - this little nutter was leaping around the cage, scaring her cagemates, climbing as high as a little piglet can climb, climbing higher than a little pig should climb. She likes chattering away when you hold her, and she'll kiss you all over your lips and face. Then she'll stick her head in your gob if you open it!

Daisy aka little daisy, badger-pig
Daisy is a little cutie who's really come out of her shell in the past couple of weeks. She has lovely long black and white hair, and looks like a tiny badger! She absolutely loves chatting the boys up (and winding them up too) and is always calling out to them. She lets Lily be the boss, but Daisy's getting an attitude, which is brilliant - she used to be a bit of a pushover. Loves cooiing and purring, and will purr back to you if you pur at her.

Rosie aka little rose, baby pig
the newest addition to the herd, only had her a week or so. Beautiful beautiful little rosette pig with red eyes - she has a little tiny voice and likes purring along with Daisy, with whom she's become good friends already - they both need to stand together as Lily can be nuts! I think Rosie will come out of her shell to be a very friendly little pig. She's already shown us that she can jump incredibly high, and can run very very fast too! The other girls have really taken a shine to her, and that's heartening.
 
gosh where to start

daisy is a grump.shes head sow and likes to wake up any sleeping pig and has an attitude problem.if she was a person shed be the one to bottle you at the pub.

polly is gentle and kind she is a big golden agouti and i put her in with my baby girls to take care of them she is lovely like a grandma but is a hairdresser

annie is a rex and she is a fatty.shes the first to the veges every morning and when they all got out at my old place she was the one who was caught last and i used to see her sunbathing by the others but shed disappear by the time i got outside lol.3 days on the run

mr toad is a best friend to everyone.he nurses the ill and cares for the baby boars he has such a special place in my heart.

sunnyjim is cheeky hes always up to something
 
Does a piggies personality vary due to its breed (like a pedigree cat or dog). None of mine are pure breeds and have very different personalities but do pure breeds have more attitude?

i dont think so but do think that those of the same breed tend to share personality traits
 
DEFINATELY NOT! lol :) well i have two merinos and they are completely the opposite to eachother, so i disagree totally!

its so lovely to hear about all these lovely pigguns!
 
i must say i have two piggies with abby in them and they're both very vocal! a lot of people say abbys are more vocal. but one of my abbys is part peruvian, so that is meant to make her more vocal too. ?/ she has no chance of keeping quiet!
 
Ok Heres mine...

Boars

Sunshine - Loves cuddles, always looking for you when he is in and wanting a cuddle, quite affectionate but on his terms only.

Twinkle - Arghhh the bain of my life...haha I love him. He is so naughty, hates cuddles, loves baths. Wants to be the boss of the barn!

Pudsey - Rumble bum, quite a bully loves cuddles, very similar to Sunshine on his terms only.

Eccles - A brilliant little piggy, very friendly, loving, calm, we all adore him.

Radley - Another cuddler very much like Eccles.

Milo - As above, perhaps its a boar thing they love their mummy.

Sows

Flora - Calm and affectionate.

Fleur - Set in her ways, boss pig, mummy to them all.

Amber - Calm and sweet, lovely girl.

Pearl - Mad, always on the go, ferret pig!

Elora - Calmed right down, very affectionate likes cuddles.

Leia - A biter, doesn't like humans much but hoping she will settle.

Lyra - Settling too still a little weary
