Pet insurance?

Hi everyone,

I was thinking about pet insurance the other day, and was wondering, can you get insurance for guinea pigs, and if so, who should I go to.

Everywhere offers insurance for cat and dogs, but lets face it, vet bills for a poorly piggy can be expensive too.

If anyone has any info on this, I would be very grateful:{

I found one place, cant remember name but decided it was more cost effective to put £20 to £30 a month in a savings account.

it is an offshoot of petplan that does it... and it is approx £80 for a piggy for a year.

So I put the money into a savings account and get the intrest on it as well.

yes i do the same, its more cost effective in the long run, and the excesses you have to pay are quite big, so in the long un, you would be paying for something which you dont really use!

save it instead

We found one that offered it for piggies, with a £50 excess(!) and for 6 pigs they wanted a total annual premium of over £600!

Personally I would avoid...
