Pet Safe Pesticide?

After mowing her yard my grandma will collect the grass shaving from the yard, dry them and then give them to me, for me to feed my Guinea Pigs. She mentioned that she used pet safe pesticide on her grass last fall or something like that, is the grass still safe for my piggies to ingest?

To be honest I don't think you should feed them the grass even if the pesticide was pet safe.
the chemicals in it might make them sick

I wouldn't use the stuff from the lawn mower as it might have fumes from the gasoline on it.

It’s a lovely thought but you really shouldn’t feed grass cuttings from the lawn mower due to the fumes

Also I believe that when you cut grass with a mower it starts to ferment which when fed to piggies can cause tummy problems.

@Guineautopia is right. Only feed grass which has been cut by hand and is chemical free, as well as dog and fox pee free. Grass cut with a mower ferments and can cause bloat or stomach upsets which are very dangerous for piggies.
