Pet Shop Piggies

My husband called me the other day and said to me to get the pet carrier down and we will go to the pet shop to get a new friend for Tango, my reply was "lol no" He asked me why and I told him I want to adopt another boar, not buy from the pet shop, due to having a bad experience when I was younger (got a piggie from pet shop, came with free lice, needed vet treatment, Spooks as he was called, squealed when he received his injection, I bawled like a baby and had to leave the room) I still don't think he understands where I am coming from yet, but I'm standing my ground.

Spooks was gorgeous. I totally agree with you not going to pet shops. It is safer to go with a rescue and boar date or you could end up with two boars not being compatible.

Thats what I told my OH, At least if I adopt, I could see if they get on together first, if they don't the foster parent wouldn't mind, a pet shop on the other hand wouldn't take him back. I would need to make another cage.
