Well Peter had his check up at the vets this morning and he is doing really well and healing nicely after his op. He's been a lot more active today but I did talk to the vet about him eating as he'd nibbled some coriander and pepper and raspberry overnight but not as much as he'd normally have. We've been given more doses of painkillers to keep him going over the weekend and a sachet of supreme science recovery incase he's not eating much.

He's barely touched anything today but he is getting more lively and has been chatting with the girls through the bars, I gave him a handful of grass and he's munched the lot so hoping he's feeling better. If he's not eaten much more in the next 30 mins - 1 hour then I'm going to do the recovery food to make sure he's had some.

Fingers crossed that his appetite is picking up!

Please weigh him daily and keep him topped up with recovery food until his weight is stable. Scales are the best judge on how much he is really eating.

Oh bless Peter, wont be long and he'll be in with the girlies in a few weeks. I hope hes feeling a bit better soon. Send him kisses and snuggles his way from me and all my gang. x>>

x.

well he's had no problem with the recovery, in fact I only had to syringe the very last bit as he's been eating it straight from the spoon, typical though I make it up, walk in the room and there he is munching away on his hay. He seems very contended now with dinner all over his chin :)) will keep an eye on his weight I promise

Yes shame I don't look so cute with it wiped all over me :))

He then proceeded to wee and poop on me and there was no sign of discomfort at all which is good. When I came downstairs this morning he's actually eaten half his pellets and most of his veg from last night bless him. I put this mornings veg in and he's already been out for a munch so I think he's certainly picking up
