I've been feeding my piggie (Butters) Pets At Home Guinea Pig nuggets since I got him, is this one of the best foods for him? Or is there something better..?

Any advice will be much appreciated xx>>> x

i use this for all 6 of my boys its fine but make sure you suppliment with veggies :)

Thanks :) yeah, he gets fresh veggies every day hehe.
I think he's quite a small guinea pig though, and wondered if the food had anything to do with it? x

pigs are like people some are small :)how old is he? an adult can be anwhere between 8-10 inches long and 2-3 pounds :)

He just turned one at the beginning of this month :) I think I'm going to weigh him this afternoon, so what would be a healthy weight? In grams :) x

for a one year old well around 1000g mine all weigh 800-1159 grams (800g is our 6 month old teddy boar hes only small yet)

dont panic if hes a little under 1000g :) my one year old is only 925 and perfectly healthy

All mine are on P@H nuggets. They don't like the burgess stuff anymore and will only touch the P@H stuff! I think it's due to the pellet size to be honest. Nice and small; none of that crunching up business, they just want a food they can shove in their mouths and chomp on! :D

Your pig is definitely not a small one! I've got a three year old girl (one I adopted a couple of weeks ago) and she doesn't even weigh 700g. She is smaller than my 11 week old baby girl!

Maybe I still think of him as small because I've had him since he was a baby and I wouldn't have really noticed him getting any bigger. But my other guinea pig who I recently adopted.. Is massive compared to little Butters!

That's the only food my two boys will eat....tried them on all the more expensive stuff, but no, they'll only eat P@H nuggets inbreeding
