Pets at Home should pay for the vets bills for the the treatment for mites and ringworm, as long as you have all the receipts, But they it is not their responsibility to pay for the neutering.

unfortunatly peaple will still buy from p@h,i have it from very very good sources that the majority of rabbits, guineas, hamsters, gerbils etc are imported from chez republic,no wonder they are ill and poorly, they come from puppy farm breeding conditions, probably never seen hay let alone fresh veg >:(

So Twinkle is foreign then! :o

I've seen certain videos, not to do with Pets at home but to do with a well known store in the states and were they get their animals from and it's grim! I've had an ill pig from P@H and I did wonder if the animals came from a similar set up. But I've always been told oh no they come from good breeders. I've never been sure, I'd like to see the evidence. :)

my local Acorn pet shop get there's from local breeders and accidental pregnancies (they pay £5 a pig). One staff member used to work at P@H and they said they can bred in store and get from dodgy breeders and also ship from store to store. poor piggies. x

Pippin had mites when I brought her, Tucker was a boar not a sow, which resulted in a pregnancy which resulted in a c-section. Tucker also was sold with no bottom teeth. I will be contacting Watch dog soon as my vets bills add up to about £450 in the past 2 months and they said they will give me £100 towards it and £30 worth of vouchers I think it's laughable to be honest that wouldn't even buy me a new cage big enough for them all as the one they gave me was fowl and unuseable!. I have been back and forth to the vets with my lot so many times now, gone through the heartbreak of losing a baby piggy which my son was distraught about. I will never step in any of there shops again I have told them were to shove there offer and am gonna contact Watch dog soon and someone from my local council is coming to see me as well. With a bit of luck the coventry store wont be able to sell animals soon. Lets hope something good can come out of a bad situation. O0
