I ordered a Nero4 from Pets@home last tues lunch hr, I had to ring them cos it hadn't been dispatched by Fri & its was supposed to be 4 working days del. They said it would be sent out fri night & delivered on Mon....We waited in all day & it never arrived so my hubby is stuck in all day today whilst I'm in work. GRRRRRR has anyone else had probs with P@H .

I always just go to the store too. So far it's only 1 day over the 4 working days so it's not too bad, a lot of companies do a lot worse than that.

Did they give you a parcel reference that you could check with the company they use to see what is happening with it? I know you can do that with Zooplus.

it finally arrived today after I rang P@H & they blamed the courriers. Its got a large chunk missing off 1 of the corners but I won't be sending it back.I'll e-mail them to let them know though. The cage itself is huge but the guineas seem to like it.they kept bumping into the sides at 1st as its smaller thn thier hutch & it hasn't got a second level.

I had a Nero 4 also from Pets @ Home, although I collected it from the store. Funnily enough it also had a chunk off one end. I don't suggest you send it back, but if you let them know and ask for a partial refund, you might be lucky, after all you've taken delivery of something that is less than perfect. They took some money off mine and the missing chunk didn't affect it as a cage.

I e-mailed P@H & they replied that I had to take the base to my nearest store for inspection. I replied that its not feasable cos its 2 busses away and I don't drive which is why I ordered it off the net in the 1st place.I'm now awaiting another reply from them.

Pets at Home... hmm. We went to the Preston branch to get our first ever Guineas, however, as we couldn't get the hutch in the car, we decided to get one locally, as we knew of a place on the way home.

When we got to the place to get the hutch, the lady who runs it asked us where we'd got our Guineas from, and when we told her, she warned us that she'd heard of other people who had gone to PAH for Guineas and they all had mites. As the Guineas were still in the car, we took them in, the lady, who is a BIG GP fan, turned them upside down and sure enough, there were bald spots on one of the GP's fur - mites!

When we got the GPs home, we contacted PAH head office to tell them, and they said that the Guineas wouldn't have left the store without being given a visual check. They hadn't even done that! Head office told us to return them to the store, but we didn't fancy a 40 min drive to get some more, which might have the same mites anyway, as there was only one area where they all resided.

So, we told therm we'd take them to the vets, at PAH's expense, which they VERY grudgingly accepted, and months down the line, they still hadn't paid the vets bill!

So, be careful.
