Last night just as I was going to bed I noticed that Phoebe skinny had a moderate head tilt. This morning it was still the same so I arranged to take her to the vets this afternoon.

We discussed all of the possibilites - ear mites, ear infection or a stroke (she has had TIAs before).

The vet discovered discharge in her left ear so we have been given Baytril for 10 days though I am hoping to arrange for this to be switched to Zithromax. She also has Rimadyl for pain relief and anti-inflammatory purposes.

She is not too bad in herself, eating ok etc, and is lively but her balance is a little screwed.

As I type this she is running about waiting for veg which is a good sign. She is also being very good with taking her probiotic. Poor Barney (the love of her life) is distraught and keeping very close by.

Phoebe is still bright today thank goodness, just very wonky. She does lose her balance a bit when running about though and ran into me last night.

Not recent ones, I can post some slightly older ones?

At the mo it would just be her cozy with his arse sticking out.

Awww poor thing, it can actually be a little distressing to see it My little Marmalade has head tilt for a while, she never fully recovered completely she has a very slight thing going on, but she has so much energy and is completely normal.

Good luck Phoebe x

Happy to report that Phoebe is almost upright and is charging about the place like a nutter. Seems the Baytril is helping. Also she has had no tummy upset thanks to endless amounts of Avipro Plus.

That's super news Helen, and again, always good to promote having some Avi-pro in the medicine cupboard - I wouldn't do without it! Lasts for ages and you never know when you are going to need it.

Still doing well and charging about the place like a loony. Head is now fully upright as far as I can tell and she is point blank refusing her probiotic so think she is feeling better. She did fall over last night but it was because she stretched too high for her veggies and reached the point of no return so toppled.
