In a week where lots of us have been dealing with poorly rescued piggies I would like to share a lighter moment.

I recently took a phone call from a man who told me he had seen on the internet that we rescued ......... CROWS! and when I told him we definatley only took guinea pigs he was quite insistant that the internet stated we DID rescue crows.
Turns out he had got Cavies confused with Corvus ( the latin for Raven) :))

How funny - it just so happens I have a crow here with an injured toe. May I send him up to you? :)):))

Perhaps you can teach crows to wheek a bit more melodious?

haha! how funny!

My OH knows someone who's daughter works for the rspca, apparently she was called out by a lady who had found a tortoise in her garden and the tortoise had been there a few days, but now had stopped eating.
When the rspca got there, it turned out the 'tortoise' was actually a garden ornament :)) the lady hadn't lived there very long and had only just noticed it, apparently when told it was an ornament, she insisted it HAD been eating for the last few days! :)):)):)):))

I have tears of laughter rolling down my cheeks at both the crows and the tortoise, this sounds like something i'd do ! (I was once so sure their was a little rabbit in our garden, my OH went to investigate and it turned out to be a rock! oops!) :))
