Poor baby. :(

Sadly, I cannot tell if it's a really bad break or not, as I'm a new guinea pig owner, but I hope she'll be okay. When in doubt, always take a trip to the vet. I know it's a lot of money, but it's worth it to know your piggy's getting professional care.

Yeah might have to :( its not the money but the fact that my mum dosnt drive so cant get there very quickly or easily :(

:)p hi I'm pretty sure piggies teeth grow back! So try not to worry, can your piggy eat ok? If not try moistening the food pellets,
Hope this helps, I'm sure some one more piggy savy will be able to help you more and confirm that there teeth do indeed grow back, I'm sure they do....

Yeah shes eating fine (veg and hay anyway) so hopefully it will just grown back just feel so bad as i havnt spent as much time with them as i used to as i have just got a new puppy

Don't worry, I'm sure Miss Piggy knows you love her. Puppies are really time consuming but you're being attentive and asking for help with your piggy so that's a good thing. I was sure that I was terrible piggy owner earlier because I thought I had accidentally brought home a boy and a girl and let them live together in the same cage. :{ Good news is I actually have two boys, but I certainly know that guilty feeling.

Guinea pig teeth are always growing (which is why hay is good for them to keep their teeth from overgrowing), so just keep an eye on her to make sure she's eating okay.

Poor Pippin, id recommend a vet visit soon as they may want to take the other front tooth down to make eating easier and as the tooth grows itll catch up quicker and to check for further damage, as an earlier post mentioned if it doesnt grow straight it may cause problems. My piggy Spike had his front teeth shaved down several times so yes they do grow. His jaw wasn't in line so he never wore them down himself.

I have two pigs with only 3 1/2 front teeth at the moment so I'm feeling experienced enough to comment on this! Teeth do grow back so no need for a vet appointment unless any of the teeth are wobbly or your piggie is struggling to eat.
From the break point I would think it will take about 2 weeks to grow back. Please weigh your piggy each day to make sure she is still managing to eat enough. She may need 'topping up' with some critical care until she can eat her full daily amount of hay etc. I found with mine that having breakfast on their own for the first few days helped to make sure they were getting their fair share if they're a little slower at eating. Matilda quite liked sitting on the sofa being hand fed!

I'm assuming the bottom two teeth are ok as I can't see them in the photo.
Just to add the top tooth may well slant a little while the other is growning back as it's not going to be wearing down evenly, it's nothing to worry about as it should right itself pretty quickly after the other has grown back. If it doesn't then you may well need to find a good cavy savy vet to assess if it needs filing. Just be aware that an inexperienced vet can do more harm that good when they start filing away as we've sadly seen the result of before now.
