Picking up new piggies

Well as some of you may have seen we adopted 2 beautiful little girls on 23rd August it has been 2wks and 2days and yesterday they accully let me puck them up with no fuss and my 2 big girls finally got to have cuddles with them after waiting patiently for 2wks. I would just like to thank everyone who gave me advice on how to settle them and get them to trust us I really have worked so hard over the past 2wks to do that and it has paid off me and the rest of my family are greatful for the help and advice we received of this forum. Anyone who is thinking of getting new piggies or have just got them please ask for advice don't just jump in as I would have done

So pleased your hard work has paid off :) It's lovely when they give you their trust. Could you come over and tame Chickpea for me 2 years nearly and she still runs away from me constantly.... I have never had such a skittish piggy

So good to hear that your patience and kindness has been rewarded. The bond you will have with these piggies will be so precious. Lovely to see the photos of the piggies and your daughter enjoying time with them.

Thank you, l love it when I've taken my children to school and then I come back my routine its make a coffee have 15mins to gather my thoughts and then sort them out and when they hear me in the fridge they start wheeking n climing up at the side of the cage calling out to me as the know its veggie time n clean out time. They getting so funny the more they get used to us they got there own little personalities. 😀

Thank you yes my girls are they so happy they can now accully interact with them in the beginning they were bit disappointed but now they ok that they can have cuddles 😀
 
Aww, they're a gorgeous wee pair, there's nothing quite as exciting as seeing your hard work pay off in trust. You should be proud!

If it makes you feel any better, Comet was like that in the cage. Fine if he was on the sofa or the hall floor, but he'd happily give you the runaround for 10+ minutes if you were trying to get him out of the cage.

Thank you I had a lot of moans and groans and I wasn't very nice at the beginning as the kids had to wait lol
 
Your piggies are so adorable! Time and patience is key. If only my new piggies were that comfortable with me! :nod:

Thank they are amazing little things and as small as they are they have very big personalities we love them so so much feels like we've had them years not 7 weeks hope your little ones settle soon have you got boys or girls. 😀
