At the moment I’m spot cleaning with a kitty litter scoop that’s actually been quite good. Just wondering what u do?
Also been advised with the noodle mats how do u do these? Shake the poop into the bag? My piggies poop a lot 😆

I do a mixture - sweeping up and picking up mats and tipping into bucket depending on the pile.

I do sweeping with a little brush pan and brush and have a little cordless car hoover which works great!

I sweep or when it's on a mat I pick it up and tip it/shake it into hay tray which I change later. If I am not changing the hay tray I just sweep and use green compostable bags to bag it.

Thanks for your replies. I spot clean like 3 times a day and I come back an hour later and there’s LOADS of poop. They love to run in it and sleep in it and by the looks of things have fun in it so it’s breaks up everywhere

I just pick it all up with my hands (and wash them afterwards!), I've never got on with any of the dustpan set-ups for poop-scooping!

I’m have a nice pair of garden gloves for the task, although they are mainly bedded on hay so it’s not a problem, the poop just falls into the bottom of the cage underneath the hay

I use a pair of rubber gloves and pick up the poops. Or a flat cat litter scoop. I use a little green pail normally supposed to be used for gardening to put poops, dirty hay in and the white basin to put the clean hay from the hay trays in. Heres snoop being a rascal and the 2 different pailsIMG_20200622_120540.webp. Lol.

My Pretty Patsy should by called Poopy Patsy! I've never known a piggie who poops so much! Tonight, I had her out for a cuddle for 10 minutes and she was pooping the whole time! I had the other two out for 10 minutes each and not a single poop! I just poop pick (with gloves on) or use a silicone brush with a dust (poop!💩) pan and pop the poop in the garden, garden waste bin or the food waste bin for composting.

Thanks for all your suggestions. It’s a lot of poop everyday! Poop walk poop walk

There was a show a few years ago (Malcom in the Middle) that had an episode with guinea pigs in it. One of the characters was singing "Eat a pellet, make a pellet, eat a pellet, make a pellet...." This pretty much sums up guinea pigs in my book!

I use a mini dust pan and brush and occasionally use my hands to get the hard to reach poops that roll under the fleece. I have to admit though I did this last night and got distracted after and forgot to wash my hands...that was until I found myself eating a brownie with my bare hands 🤢

My daughter asked me why are the Guinea pigs the same shape as their poo!? 🤔

Thats funny. I used to feed burgess mint nuggets and my Dad used to say that the nuggets looked just like their poo. 💩🤣🤣

With the noodle mats. I fold up (so nothing falls out) and shake them inside the bin liner. Then brush them off a little. Stuff falls off quite easily, unless it's one of those stuck on poops you get occasionally! 😂

They do a bit! In our house we have a game for when we see something on the floor of the guinea pig room called 'nug or poo" and honestly, it can go either way. It helps if you both have poor eye sight, like my husband and I, makes the game more exciting!

Oh dear, that really does sound like a lockdown game🤣😂😆

We used to have a baby group version as a lot of people brought raisins in as a snack but on the carpet a dropped raisin looks very like a dead fly - and in a bright sunny room you get a lot of both! I used to vacuum before we started to try and get 'them all but you still had to keep a weather eye out for young 'foragers'...
