So if my piggy just hates almost everything except the things that will give him bad gas and bladder stones what should I do? Only give him veggies once or twice a week or what? He is seriously the pickiest ever and I don't know what to do about him. I know he needs veggies every day but when he doesn't eat it what can I do?

Sweetspig11, you are not the only one in the picky boat. My little turd is so picky that she will only eat her food, romaine lettuce, freeze dried strawberries (they have to be freeze dried or she will not touch them), apples in chuncks placed in her food dish and only the fuzzy pieces of hay (she pulls the rest out and puts it on the ground).

with some pigs its just trial and error like it is with children.
have you tried a small amount of veg everyday? does he like his pellets and hay?
I was having trouble with one of mine not eating hay, and very little pellets. I bought him woodlands guinea pig food an forage and have put a small amount in with the regular food and now he eats everything; hay, pellets and veg

Love go thru the list of foods that are recommended and try one maybe each week......... hopefully it's something that you don't mind eating!
I was lucky that my girls were brought up on lots of different veggies from birth :)

Good luck xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>
i will not give my girls certain foods that could cause gas, nor did i give them when i learnt about gas probs to one of my boys (by then the other one had gone to the bridge, not from food probs tho)

Putt is on a low calcium diet and hates it, she has turned into a really fussy madam. The only food we can relibly get her too eat is parsley and carrot tops both high in calcium.
However if we just leave her food in the cage she eventually realises nothing tasty is arriving and will eat what she has been given. Dont give up and dont give in to the emotional blackmail.

Emotional blackmail...aha, that's what it is then :(|)
Mine will eat things one day and hate them the next rolleyes. Corn on the cob for example, they love it... until this morning ?/ Paid £7 for four - yes £7 mallethead but they have ignored it so far :{ Tsk !
Good job my daughter likes them hee hee, she'll never know lol.

He loves his pellets and his hay :) I think he just pretends to hate it when I'm around, I caught the little eating it when I went out of the room I peeked around a corner and he was stuffing his face!
