So, GLaDOS really loves her romaine lettuce and parsley. I hadn't really read up on what to feed guinea pigs when we first got her, so we just fed her whatever she liked. After reading up on Ca:P ratios and all that jazz, I'm creating a diet for her. While I'm perfecting it, I've been feeding her according to a "daily/every other day/weekly" chart I've found online. We've been feeding her Parsley and lettuce on the same day, and when we feed her other things the day after, she sniffs the food and whines when she doesn't find her crack-- I mean, parsley. She then waits for an hour or so and then hesitantly (and grumpily) eats whatever is in her bowl.

Is there something I can do to make her less sad about what we're giving her, or do we just have to wait it out?

(and as a side note: Is it safe to feed her Alfalfa/bean sprouts and mushrooms?)

make sure she has plenty of hay at all times, feed spring greens, raw beetroot, carrots, cucumber, celary, and lots of fresh grass.

No never give mushrooms.

I am not sure about alfalfa sprouts, in the UK they are hard to find. Bean sprouts can be given but are of little nutritional value & have to be washed thoroughly as they can harbour bugs which a bad for all of us. Don't get the ones in a chinese mixed bag though in case there is onion in them, get the ones where they are raw in a bag on their own in the salad section.
