Thanks, he is very cheeky! Has a mad half hour most days!

He sounded a bit snuffly this morning, could he have a cold? Can they catch them from humans? Will he need the vets help to get over it?

Yes, piggies can catch colds from us - it's best not to handle your piggies if you have a bad cold. If you are concerned about Dave, you could always ask questions on here (there's a health & illness board), but it's best to let a vet see him.

Yes they can catch colds from us but dont get better from it on their own like we do, so he will need to go to the vet sooner rather than later if you think he is poorly. I thought his eyes looked like they had a little gunk in them but it may just be the photo?

Nah thankfully no eye gunk. He used to be housed with a rabbit which had continual eye infections, before he was rescued. But i have had him for 4 months, or there abouts, and there has been no sign of anything. Phew!

It's hard to tell, and I apologise if I'm wrong, but is that woodshavings you are keeping him on? Some people on the forum haven't had a problem with this but I used shavings at first when I didn't know about the problems it could cause, and my Cobweb sounded snuffly and had problems with an itchy nose. It's hard to tell from the video but it's just a thought, if I'm wrong - sorry!

Yea, thats where i bought it. I think it was about £3......suits him to a tee!

Thanks, my boyfriend made the ramp, and Dave loves having the freedom to come and go as he please's!

He is Mr Independent.......apart from food time, when he loves me lots!
 
I love the little plaque you have for him-it gives me an idea for something I can do for my little baby boy! thanks! he is sooooo cute and looks like a big sweetie pie too! I also liked the video super duper cute-glad you switched to another type of bedding for him- oh and yes they can catch colds from us, I have had colds b4 and when I do, I don't handle him much as I would like to but I am thinking about his well being and not just what I want so it can be tough not being able to handle them when you're sick but it'll pass and in the meantime my mom takes care of him and feeds him-i had been sick about 2 or 3 times before and I had to let my mom take over for a bit until I got over my cold, anyway, love the pics and video!

I thought the plaque was really cool and had to have one! I got it on ebay in the pet section, really cheap and it was through my letter box withing a few days! Really great for £3! Or something like that!
