Adult Guinea Pig
Aw bless, they look relaxed on their travels.
They look so content! Do you take them away with you?
What a stunner
Awwwwwww, I see she has settled very quickly with paws firmly under the table. Lucky lady to come and live with you guys
Oh they are adorable!
We live in a static caravan and our 3 rule the house! x
I fear she is going to be a hairy fluffy pig. She looks like she may be a cross Silkie (Sheltie). But as the others chose her what are we to do.
This is great! Fellow caravanners! We take ours with us, they have a cage on the top bunk and a sheltered outside run so they can nibble grass, something they can't do at home.Yes they spend about 40 nights a year with us in the caravan. You can check out their stories in the Guinea Pig Magazine, on facebook at Guinea Pigs of the Turner Household or the many posts on the forum.

That's a good idea, I wonder how many of us there are, my husband thought it was going to be the end of our caravaning when we got the girls but we manage it quite well ( he thinks I'm barmy tho!) Can't wait to tell him we're not the only ones taking them with us! I'll try have a look at your Facebook page this eve, I don't have any pics of Poppy & Toffee on any site but I'll put some on here when I get chance.I think we should have a forum area for caravanning cavies - check out their FB page - Guinea Pigs of the Turner Household. Do you have any sort of site with pics.
We have been doing it now for 6 years including twice to the Isle of Wight. The ferry was hilarious. That's a good idea, I wonder how many of us there are, my husband thought it was going to be the end of our caravaning when we got the girls but we manage it quite well ( he thinks I'm barmy tho!) Here we are.....We have been doing it now for 6 years including twice to the Isle of Wight. The ferry was hilarious.
Have to keep them still for photos, my phone dosent do action shots! Some tents seem quite a lot more spacious inside than a caravan so I bet it's easier. If I left ours with a piggy sitter I'd miss them too much, you have to take them with you don't u.I'm not quite so upmarket, but my army come camping with me... 5 berth tent, 4 people and this year, 12 piggies in it! I'm hoping to upgrade to an autosleeper next year, so hopefully trying to fit the now 15 strong tribe and all associated paraphernalia in my teeny tiny convertible will no longer be an issue!

It's awesome to know there are others keeping piggies in caravan's or taking them on holibobs with them :-D
We couldn't leave our 3 with anyone as the girls are 'special needs' so I wouldn't trust anyone to understand Lettie's idiosyncrasies (she is currently war dancing on her upturned foodbowl.... As you do!) or recognise the subtle signs of Bluey's cysts flaring again and needing her baytril.
Do you have the 'recommeded' space for everyone? We don't, due to space restrictions in the static, but they have lots of floor time, cuddle time and general free running play time :-) x
I didn't get as up close as I would like- most of my time was spent stopping my little sister from shellnapping a tortoise and buying the piggies more presents than they'll ever use!Did you manage to come and see our gang in the grotto by the entrance? Sadly one week later we lost our abby Cosmos very suddenly.
Mine live in a mixture of pop up kennels and metal sided runs with a hand made by yours truly mesh top. Charlie discovered how to escape this however, so I need a new plan of attack next year! Waking up at half 3 to the sound of a very excited piggy doing laps of the tent was not pleasantOur guys have standard large rabbit pens, but have the lounge in the evenings to run around and play, so seem very happy :-) x
