Pictures of my lost guinea pigs

Hello everybody !

Perhaps you remember my thread "lost guinea pigs". Meanwhile I could manage to edit the pictures I was send by Mrs. Chamberlain who rehomed them against my will.
So my question: has anyboy seen theses animals:

Now at least I found them at Mrs. Chamberlains's homepage, only Wallace is missing.But it becomes even more disgusting - how can she dare to rename the poor craetures - was it not enough to seperate them?!
Unfortunately the lawyer I contacted has not contacted me yet.

Hi again Wuschel ... yes I do remember your posting.

I am sorry to hear that nothing positive has come out of your attempt to find the piggies. It has obviously been very upsetting for you as you thought that they were being looked after in your absence and then to find that they had been re-homed must have come as a real shock to you.

I hope you have success. If you don't, and I know what I am going to say won't replace your lost piggies, perhaps rehoming some new piggies will help you while you continue to look for them.
 
I don't understand this situation...I wasn't here for earlier posts ? How were the guineapigs taken from your care ??

Thank you for your interest of my situation. The whole story is explained in one of my earlier threads - I guess you will find them by looking at all threads by wuschel.If you have any idea to help please let me know! The avatar shows a guinea pig who looks like my lost fia - so if you know anybody who has got a piggy and got it from Mrs. Chamberlain, please let me know! My time here in England is limited now because I have to look for work abroad, but I still do not give up to get my animals back!

Many thanks - but I am really not in the mood to rehome new guinea pigs - I cannot forget about my "lucky seven" and I only want to know where they are, are they well looked after, are they happy?! I do not understand why I have no rights in this country to at least see me beloved ones?!Popcorn shows an avatar which exactly looks like my Fia ...Meanwhile I send my story to a lawyer -but this was only last friday and I have to wait for an answer.But I will send an email to this Mrs. Chamberlain right now - I am so fed up suffering - and if this woman pretends to be an animal lover - what kind of love did she show -either towards the animals, while seperating a happy guinea pig family and towards the owner?And if this would not have been enough - taking the "eglu" for her rabbits - it is disgusting!
Nevertheless - all the members of the forum who send me an answer are marvellous!

It's a heartbreaking story and I really feel for you. I can understand that wanting to know what happened to them. Anyone can say they are a rescue that is the problem.
 
Das tut mir wirklich sehr sehr leid für dich :( Sowas ist schrecklich, ich will gar nicht wirklich drüber nachdenken - wir geben unsre 4 Quieker immer zu einer Tierhandlung wenn wir mal in den Urlaub fahren - der Gedanke das ich zurückkomme und sie wurden verkauft! (egal ob aus versehen oder absichtlich)... grrrr :(

Fühl dich in Gedanken mal ganz ganz doll gedrückt, ich hoffe du schaffst es deine Babys wiederzukriegen. Was das rechtliche angeht - ganz nüchtern gesehen sind die Meerschweinchen deine gewesen, oder? Hast du für sie bezahlt oder dein Partner? Wenn er sie einfach weggibt ist es einfach Diebstahl (in den Augen des Gesetzes). Was natürlich passieren kann ist das du den Fall gewinnst, aber dein Partner bzw. die Rehoming Station dir einfach eine Strafgebühr zahlen muss als Entschädigung. (Was dann überhaupt nichts bringen würde, das bringt dir deine Schweinderl doch auch nicht zurück!) Was für eine scheiß Situation (excuse my language).

Ich hoffe alles geht gut. :( What an awful thing to happen :(

have you tried emailing/ringing this person to see what her excuse is for giving your pets away?
 
Sorry about that - but sometimes I just feel I cannot express myself as well in English as I can in German. :(
Pretty much just agreeing how much this sucks and what an awful situation this is to be in - and also - even though I know how disheartening this must be - saying that the most likely thing to happen if it was to go to court would be that as the piggies are Wuschels property, it would be dealt with as theft, and Wuschel would probably just end up getting a sum of money paid by the thieving party :( Which isnt helping at all as it does not bring the piggies back... but in the eyes of the law they are just property. :(
 
Looking at the website the person who has the holiday homes for pets is called Debby.
She writes about Alice Chamberlain as a rescue and gives her number... Debbys number is at the bottom of the page...
So Debby is the holiday home and Alice is the rescue...
Did you go through Debby, Wuschel or Alice straight away? I am sorry that this has happened to your pigs. How did you come to know about Alice?
 
Thank you for that - I guessed that was the gist of it, and understand that it's hard to translate every single thing into English! Some things just don't work both ways. It's heartbreaking what has happened to the pigs, and will be very hard to come to a conclusion I think.

Just wondering why the mods moved this into the photo gallery section? It is alot less likely to be seen by people here... (I know that I myself only occasionally look into this section of the forum).

I mean, after all, the idea of posting those pictures isnt to show everybody how pretty they are, but more like a WANTED poster...

Look at the page "rehomed forever" and you will find me lost Quenny and her daugther daisy - homepage shows her sister blacky - the little black one.
I send another email to the "lady" right yesertday, but no reply. However, I just now found an article about her "wonderful work" in "thisisgloucestershire" and I will send my story to these people as well!
Thanks - and if you or anybody else may give me a hint about the whereabouts of my animals I would be ever so grateful!

It was in fact all done by my partner while I was away in Germany, reselling our flats.
He himself did not care at all - he only wanted to have them out of the way in order to have his garden done. The Chamberlain adress was giben to him by our neighbour who hated the guines pigs and disliked me anyway...
I talked to her later for several times - her only reaction always was, that she made it absolutely clear to my partner, that once with her, the animals would be immediately rehomed - which was a lie, because when I talked to her for the very first time, still from Germany, she reassured me that they would stay with her only a long as we wanted them to stay - sort of animal-hotel-conditions.
My opinion is, that she was merely interested in the epensive "Eglu" from Omlet for her rabbits, a fact she admitted months later...
But I will not stop trying to get them back!

Hi there! Yes, I did read your story on an earlier thread. I am really sorry but the piggy on my avatar isn't one of yours, I can assure you of that. (you did ask me via pm to let you know where I got the guineapig from, but I think it is sufficient to say that it has no connection to yours whatsoever and I have known it since it was a small baby!) I can understand your anxiety, it is a very sad story. I wish you luck in finding out what happened to them.

Meanwhile I had another discussion with Mrs.C who now came up with such a disgusting reason which made her give away my guinea pigs that I have to think twice before I post it at the forum - first I will have a word with my ambassador and perhaps a lawyer.
But sooner or later I think I will give more informations - because everybody who supported me in such a kind and understandable way deserves to know the truth, especially after one of the piggies already died at his "wonderful new home" - this was "spot" - and I do not believe in the story telling me he suffered from a tumor - and even if this story really was true - I or my partner have always been only a phonecall away - we would have taken the animal back and off course payed for the vet...

Is it possible that your partner could have signed them over and not told you? It is very unusual (speaking as a holiday boarder and ex rescue myself) for someone to want to board guinea pigs for 2 months and still not be able to give a deffinate answer as to when they would be collected :{. When I take on holiday boarders myself I always make sure I take details of when the animals will be collected from me, I would not be happy with an collection date potentially months from now with no offer of payment. Could it be that she tried to phone you (or your partner?) and could not get hold of you? Alice is a lovely woman who I have dealt with in the past (during my rescue days) and I find it hard to believe she would deliberatly rehome someones pets that were just on holiday with her :{
 
I was just thinking reading back on the thread that you said your partner just wanted rid of the pigs... I have to agree with sgp rescue and maybe your partner signed them over and didnt want to tell you when you asked him...?

I know you want your pigs back but you are going away again soon (and it sounds like you travel alot with your job) and if this woman is running a good rescue then your piggies will have good permanent homes...
Is it not better for them to have permanent homes rather than being boarded for an unspecific time? Holiday borders dont look after them for an unspecific time as you have to pay them upfront to care for your pigs...

If you OH didnt pay them upfront then it was not a boarding home he took them to...

And i would be careful posting accusing posts about someone on an open forum ;) without the other person knowing about it. It can be classed as slander as your claims about her are not substantiated at the moment. It is her word against yours so tread cautiously..
 
I am not comfortable with the amount of names that are being mentioned here so i will close this thread now and leave it were members can get in touch with Wuschel if they have any info to give.

We have all seen the pictures of the piggies so can keep an eye out.

I will sticky this thread so it does not get lost down the board.

This is a sad situation i really wish you the best in finding your piggies.
