I think Gizmo may have gone senile bless him. i found him the other day asleep in the corner of the hutch, so i called him and he woke up and started sqeaking at the hutch wall! he's a daft old sod i know he's not blind because most of the time he can see you. does anyone else have a senile/daft pig

:)) :)) Silly Gizmo! He's just having a senior moment!
Cookie ruumblestruts at inanimate objects - such as the food bowl or the villa, not cause she's senile, but because she is desperate to be top pig over anything.... :)) They do the silliest of things sometimes...

Cariad is my daftie - always late for food at the best of times, she is sometimes not able to come to dinner with the others at all because she can't find the exit to the cage if it is not where she thinks it should be, but on the other hand, she often waits patiently under the dining table for the cucumber night night tidbit, which is always being served in the cage to make sure that every pig is in for the night! rolleyes

Or she takes exception to a new patterned or differently coloured fleece (which she doesn't dare tread on) and won't leave her corner etc... malletheadmalletheadmallethead

I have become a very good Cariad pick up and shuttle service over the years!

Awwwwww! x)x)x)

Archie who's 4 and Noelle who is 5 on the 20th of this month are always asleep lol I've bought them in the house to keep them warm over winter and they seem to appreciate snuggling in the fleecey bedding, they make the top fleece into a cave and sleep under it :) they certainly sleep more than the younger pigs!

Finley does this exact same thing rolleyes caught him rumbling at a toy carrot the other day and swaying his hips...maybe he was trying to romance it?! :))

I love this thread and the stories! :))

I don't know enough about guinea pigs yet to say what is daft or not, except that maybe I'm the daft one, outside at 5 a.m. harvesting grass to give to the guinea pigs, telling the clerk at the store I'm buying the hay so I can have more roughage in my diet (the look on her face was priceless) . . .
