Pig is going in for some dental work and more xrays at Gilmour tomorrow Would have took her to Simon but she needs work urgently. Just hope it helps....spent hundreds so far and are no further forward.

Just gave permission for T (name) to be pts. Vet said she'd lost a quarter of the bone in her upper jaw. It was one of the hardest things I have had to do. Keep thinking what I could have done differently.

We are all really sorry for your loss. So sad that your little girl could not be saved.
You did everything you could to try to save her. Go and make a big fuss of your remaining piggies!
It will help you feel better.

So sorry for your loss. Huge hugs, sometimes no matter what we do we can't save them. x

Oh no, that is so sad, I am sorry to hear about your loss, you did try very hard, bless you xx

I'm so sorry, it sounds like the right decision though. Night night little one.

Kicking myself for not taking the Pig straight away to see Simon when she lost her front teeth - am convinced he'd have saved her. Was naive.

I am just so sad - unless you have kept pigs I don't think you can understand how engaging and loveable creatures Guinea pigs are. T (or the bear as I liked to call her) was a special little thing, so different to the other pigs and was always my favourite. Picking her up would always cheer me up when I was having a shitty day.

I am so sad to see this news, but please remember, you gave her the best life possible and sadly sometimes it's not meant to be. I sadly lost a temporary resident yesterday, who had come to me with a very deformed jaw bone. Simon was starting to think that maybe it was something more sinister than just due to an abscess that hadn't been treated correctly. It certainly looks like it might have been as she developed serious breathing issues and passed away very quickly. If ever you need Simon to see what of your piggies please don't hesitate to contact me. x

I am so sorry to read this.
you are right tho, it is a lovely cage and she had a great life with you
x

Totally lost faith in Vets after this experience - never felt confident they knew what the problem was. Pig was never the same after the first time she went under, for all I know all that poking around made matters worse. No good came of it that's for sure. Going to be hard for me to trust a vet again.

I was going to cremate the pig but have decided to bury her in the garden. Will be picking her up tomorrow - not something I am looking forward two.
