Today I had to put my beautiful beloved Pig to sleep. His ulcerated tumor bled again on Sunday, but this time was different. This time he did not bounce back and was so limp from blood loss... it was aweful. And then no appetite, so instead of allowing the situation to worsen for him, I decided to have him put to sleep. This was the first time I’d ever experienced such a thing, it was hard to do but I felt it was best. I had already decided tumor removal was not a good option so I just pampered him thru his illness and then today I let him go. Thank you for the wonderful guinea pig forum, it has been useful to me.CBD68884-71CD-41EB-A316-FE1776661918.webp53D0E43C-3219-427D-85E2-860D0CBA0AD9.webp8091E76E-DC6F-4CD7-A3FC-D255236F900E.webp

I am very sorry for your loss. Pts/euthanasia is the biggest, last and kindest gift we can give our beloved pets, but it is also the most heart-breaking.

RIP Pig - you have been truly loved!

I'm so sorry to hear about your beloved Pig. I'm sure he knew he was loved and had a wonderful life with you. Take care and give yourself time to grieve.

Thank you everyone ❤️Because I really needed to read all your kind words. Because of course... I’m doubting my decision, I’m wondering where did he go - where is he at, missing him in my life already. This dear sweet animal brought me so much happiness.
He was my first guinea pig and idk if I could do it again. The whole process today was a lot to take in... very very painful.
Ty guinea pig lovers, guinea pig people, guinea pig forum.

I'm so sorry for your loss... I know how hard a decision it is to have to make. I've been there too. It's hard even when you know it's the kindest option and the right time. ((HUGS.))

So sorry for your loss. It's a difficult decision to make but it was the kindest thing that you could do for your beloved piggy.
Popcorn free over the rainbow ridge little fella. :luv:

So sorry for your loss - only just picked up on this.
Doubt is part of grief and will, in time, pass as you accept the decision you made was right for Pig.
It’s a gift of love but one that hurts us so much.
Pig was a lovely and well loved piggy.
Be gentle with yourself now.
