Not just the Islandic volcano eruption is having a big impact on the international cavy community, but an unexpected cold snap despite sunny skies is proving to be far more devastating. An emergency meeting has been called in!

But where is the the secretary general? Has he been caught out by the flight restrictions?

No, he has only been held up by a traffic jam!

All members are of the same opinion that securing a steady supply of sufficient fresh grass must have first priority!

The complete cancellation of open air grazing on the lawn has severely cut down on the share of grass available to every single cavy.

At this point, a cat fight between two senior members of the UN is breaking out...

...which prompts further panicked reactions from other members.

As this fight involved the secretary general, there was nopig left to call the meeting to order.

Sadly, we cannot report any further, as the room had to be cleared by security. Any negotiations had to be postponed for the time being, leaving the crisis unsolved! :{

I love your piggy UN! Having done more than two years of international law at uni, I fully understand the complications of round table negotiations!

Wonderful one!

And my piggies would like to add an item to the agenda to be discussed at a further meeting - the need for unlimited sunshine on designated grazing days. They would like a motion to be added asking for unlimited sunshine but cool breezes on every day except Friday. That's six days a week please. They feel that, after much discussion, this should suit the needs of piggiedom well. Please consider their request.

From Carmina, Columbine, Carmeline, Carmilla and Chamomile (who isn't old enough yet to vote but asked nicely to be included)

The motion has been duly noted and will undoubtedly find widespread support amongst the members of the UN!

Brilliant as always ..... super photography, and such a wonderful report!

Normally, I fee on three plates and often Cariad is eating further away, but for once, they were all waiting together and all making such a beeline for the same plate that I made a beeline for my camera! :))

oh nooooooooooo are they ok Wiebke?
wheeeee's worried :...

The girls had a discussion they think that a BIGGER plate/bowl of grass would be a much better idea :))
well what else would you expect from piggie friends? rolleyes

p.s. another note............ all butts are still totally gorgeous and buttalicious drooldrooldrool

what a fantastic group. just jealous that they all seem to be so happy together (sending vibes to my lot in the hopes that they try and get along a bit better) ^)
