Pig went 8 days with no bleeding from his tumor ulceration point... until 10/4-which is actually St Francis of Assisi day. So I took Pig for the blessing.
The bleeding episode really impacted him badly... he was slow and lethargic with little appetite, actually passing up his fave cilantro. First time I could see in his eyes just how sick he’s feeling (watch video). It’s getting to where I don’t like to leave him alone for too long, fearing he will bleed out. Pretty sure he’s knocking the scab off during preening. I almost want to somehow bandage the area... but it might just make him more attentative to the area, I’m sure he’d force it off.
Anyway: today I wake to find him biting on his cage- so he has bounced back for now. His appetite is also back, but he does seem anxious - this is unusual for PIG.
I’m sure the blessing and holy water helped🙏🏽❤️✝️ Add days to his life and time for me to enjoy him.

Aw, what a gorgeous boy, I sincerely hope he can keep going for a while longer so you can have some precious time together x
