Hi there,

I've noticed a couple of times (particularly at lap time but sometimes in the cage), my tame pig Belle occasionally makes a single breathy sound which is the cross between a sigh and a sneeze. It's definitely not a sneeze as its not as violent as a pig sneeze, and isn't accompanied by head movement or a nose wipe. It only ever happens once and always seems to be done when we are around in someway. I was just curious what this might mean. Guinea pig version of a sigh perhaps?

I always thought of this noise as "please stop doing that, I don't like it", or generally voicing displeasure at something. Happens with me when syringe feeding or lap time goes on too long!

Could you please try to catch it on video, upload it on a public setting and then posting the link in here. We don't have a video uploading facility; it would be too expensive.
