Yesterday I separated my boars because of fighting, and so the submissive one could get up to normal weight.
They have both had a go at chewing and barging down the separating grids, but my dominant boar, Elliot, just won't stop! He kept me up last night doing it and he's at it again now. I feel bad because they might miss each other, but on the other hand I know that if I put them back together the bullying will start again.

How long will it take for them to get used to being separated? They are right next to each other so they can still talk, but the grids are there to stop the biting.

The biting can go on for quite some time - I've had it for weeks when I had to separate a piggy of mine because the other had babies.

You may want to think about about getting a perspex divider if you want to keep them like that long term and have your peace at night.
