Piggie Birthdays Idea - Rescue Sponsorships

Since my lot have everything they could want and more (never mind what I want to get them rolleyes), I have decided what I'm going to do for their birthdays this year...sponsor a rescue pig! For each of the pigs birthdays, starting with Elijah and Errol on 28th January, I'll sponsor one/a pair of rescue pigs for each birthday pig. I'll also send a small something for the chosen pig(s), so they can join in my own pigs birthdays. :))

My question: which rescues have a sponsorship scheme running? I currently know of Guinea Pig Rehoming Norfolk, and Thistle Cavies Rescue.

I want to try and sponsor with as many different rescues as possible. Given that I have 12 pigs, I should be able to get a fair few in. :))
 
That's such a lovely idea, Laura, what a nice way to mark their birthdays!

I don't know who else offers sponsorship, but I'm sure some others on here do. How about Little Brambles?

Thanks for those two! I also remembered Bobtails also does sponsorships. So I'm up to 5...I wonder if we can come up with 12?

I also can't help thinking of the piggie dating thread - even though that's not why I've decided to do this! It would be interesting to see if I can find long-distance girlfriends/boarfriends for each of my lot though. :))
 
I don't know whether Fi.Cantillon in Bristol does sponsoring. I haven't seen much of her lately and their website is inaccessible. Sue 1974 is another one to ask. ClaireLove might also be interested in setting up a sponsoring scheme. Also Laila?

Sadly, the birthday present sponsoring idea won't work for me - of all my piggies, I know the birthday of only one! But I sponsor several piggies in memory of piggies I have lost and still miss.

I only know the birthdays (or approximate birthdays) of about six of mine...the others are estimates. :))

You could always do it for adoption anniversaries, Wiebke? Although your idea of sponsoring pigs in memory of past piggies is just lovely.
