Piggie Books.

The only book about guinea pigs I have is one I bought at a car boot sale about 8 years ago it's from the 80's and some of the information in it is shocking.

My boyfriend always makes jokes about it and gives me care advice from the book :lol!:

Here's an example:
Me: I really need to go veggie shopping for the pigs, I'm running out of lettuce and coriander.
Boyfriend: Why don't you give them some healthy potato peelings? :D
Me: ....

That's actually one of the things that was mentioned in the book as good guinea pig food :xd:

Just in case anyone is wondering, potatoes are toxic.

I've bought a couple of books largely for the cute pictures! I find that the info on the internet is a lot more up to date (I think that some of my books were written in about 1965 by someone who had never seen a guinea pig!) But the pics... adorable! :)

I have Pride and Prejudice too
I also have a couple children's novels. One was written by a friend in the US it's signed by her and by her piggie that it was written about :love:

Are you starting your own little library?

:D Some people might think so! I've got enough books! I was a bit disappointed with one of those Skinny pig books; it had only ONE picture in it! Boo!

I was looking at some other piggie books on Amazon and reading the reviews. One book ( I don't remember which one) apparently encouraged the buying of guinea pigs because "they are inexpensive to buy and EASILY DISPOSED OF"! :yikes:

And if you haven't read them already, how about the books by Michael Bond, about Olga da Polga? Those are fun!
