Does anybody else's piggies put them on a guilt trip?

I have been packing some clothes that I sold on eBay today, to post tomorrow, and my piggies kept wheeking cause they thought it was food! Even though they had a bowl full and their veggies! They do it every time I walk in my bedroom too! Makes me feel so guilty cause I haven't brought anything for them! :)):)) Silly piggies! x

I love this. Very funny! My lot are just the same. :))

Mine guilt trip my father more than me :)) They recognise his voice and know he's a soft touch so everytime they hear him they'll squeek and he'll come in with food, even if i've JUST fed them.
I also get the guilt trip if i dare to eat before them. Whenever I do I usually end up leaving my tea to go feed them and only coming back to it once they're happy. The things we do for our piggies :p

:(|)
Have taken to unwrapping anything for hoomans now in the kitchen - find myself tip toeing through the lounge in the mornings so as not to wake them up :{

OH sleeps in here with them and as soon as he stirs in the morning, they weeeeeeeek at him at full volume to be fed! He's opened his eyes once and he says they keep popping their noses up watching for when he moves :))

Yep,every time I open a bag or chop up potatoes to make wedgies they wheek - ever tried to chop quietly ? its like trying to unwrap a chocolate bar without the kids hearing so you dont have to give them any (I'm so mean ) :(|)

I SO know what you mean...

I just went downstairs to collect a take away - walked in and HUGE wheeking (cos they are used to me getting in from work and them getting a treat!).....they have already had treats today!

hahahaha ..... whatever you do dont buy them a bell ..... mine have a bell (a parrot bell) which they ring when they need me ....want food.... or think I need to be out of bed..... their idea of a long lie is 5.30am ! and I feel soooo guilty if I 'nick' some salad out of their salad bags cos they hear me and start complaining......

I can soooo relate to the 'piggie guilt trip' lol

xx

I totally unerstand

When they want food, they stand on their hind legs and prance around the cage. I call it their ''food dance''. They even do it when their bowl is full of fresh veggies!
I take lots of ''guilt trips:(|)''

I even feel guility when I eat out and the restaurant puts parsley as a garnish on the plate!

My guinea pigs do this to me all the time! Every single day they wheek from two until I feed them at four!

I always feel so bad! I went for a meal with my nana and grandad when they came to visit me at uni, and I actually wrapped the salad up in a tissue for them! x

Yup!

We take plastic bags in our pockets to pick dandelion and grass when we're out and if we eat anywhere, most of our salad goes in the bag too ")

Making a Hawaiin Luau for the kids and have been in and out of the kitchen all day. Penelope always wheeks at me when she thinks I am going to feed them. I kept telling her I had already fed them but she was relentless so my son gave them some green spaghetti to make them happier.
Spoiled piggies!

Oh yes....... and when they look up at you with those beautiful eyes and stick their chinnies up and show you piggie lips and toofies drool ....... i obey them and find a little treat! :))

Yep!

Whenever the fridge door opens and close = lots of wheeking, and cage biting!
Whenever the kitchen tap is on = wheek, wheek, wheek!
Patio door lock clicks and opened = dandelion and grass time = wheek, wheek, wheek!

When I come home from work, all 3 of them are standing on their hind paws at the front of the cage, with their big brown eyes pleading for food! So before, I even take off my shoes, I bring them veggies! roll eyes

Choccy has got the guilt trip down to a tee, he is very demanding and LOVES his floor-time. If I don't let him out, I swear he gives me the dirtiest look when he does come out, and has a little temper tantrum in his cage - throwing veggies, pigloos and head butting everything in sight, as well as running around and hurdling every obstacle in his way like a maniac!

I know what you mean about the work thing. Minute I open my front door - a chorus of wheeks! I don't usually get my coat off before they get their treats! :D

Just reading this thread makes me realise how much I miss my seven piggies from when I was little (dusky, bramble, perkin, nutkin, chambord, max and barney). I can't wait to find the guinea pigs that have chosen me from a rescue centre and come and live with me, my other half and our little animal family.

At the moment I'm putting lotion on one of my piggies and every time i put him back he comes over and puts his paws onthe front of the cage and puts his sad face on , which always end up with me going to the fridge to get them something rolleyes

Hahaha my girls have bells they ding it and then run to the front.

My girls do that! Another one of their tricks is to pretend that I haven't fed them by staring pleadingly into the empty bowl and prancing about yelling. Pickles will then go and start munching on some newspaper or something as if to say "Look, I'm soo hungry that you're forcing me to eat paper!" That's when I start to wonder whether or not I've fed them, until I see the pile of half eaten veggies Pickles has hidden from Pumpkin to eat later! :)) They then act all wounded when I tell them to stop all the drama :))

My boyfriend does it often.. ive given the piggies loads of veggies and when they have eaten it, my BF thinks its funny to see what they do when he rustles some bags, I tell him not too..

So I feel bad as the piggies are expecting veggies (even though they have had some) so I give I end up giving them a ittle amount again.. ")
