Piggie heartbreak!

I'm so disappointed! We were supposed to be picking up our two rescue piggies from the rescue centre this week, but they haven't called to arrange when we can go down. I can never get them on the phone either...

I'm so sad. I just want my little piggies home with me so they can start their wonderful new life with us.

I feel really let down as we've run ourselves raggid changing our set up and getting all the right things the centre have told us to get, at no small cost, and we're here waiting and waiting for them to call....I know they're busy people and its all charitable etc etc. I just can't hide my disappointment....

do you have thier email address? Oh I do hope you can get them did they give you a rough idea of when you could collect if they said this week I would be tempted to go down today and see if you can take them and explain the situation they may hve problems with their phones or something lets hope its some simple mistake let us know what happens!
 
Oh Teabag it's awful when you are excited about something & get let down! :(

As Dazie says, I would go down there & see if you can take them. I guess if it's quite a distance from you though thats not an option?

Please give them the benefit of the doubt.

Rescues are often run from private homes by people who need to hold down full time jobs to pay the bills. There are ALWAYS lots of people phoning and/or emailing all the time and it can be hard for them to keep on top of as well as care for many animals (which, you understand, are always their first priority over phone calls).

Please try and get in touch with them before you turn up on their doorstep - the chances are they have a very valid reason why they haven't gotten back to you yet.
 
I wouldn't just turn up anyway cos its quite a distance for us to go to find no one there or a reason why we can't take the piggies...

I understand what it must be like, and that the animals are a priority, i don't think anyone would say it should be any other way. I just feel as we've been vetted and are ok, if we could pick them up, it would free up space for them to help out some other unfortunate animals...

Disappointment is a bitter pill!
 
No doubt they will get in touch soon! I have off days where I leave the phone under my bed for an hour or so in the morning (it starts under my pillow incase i get urgent calls, but always ends up on the floor under the bed ;D) They will get back to you asap! O0 Cant wait for pics!
 
How disappointing for you. I would feel the same.

Hopefully they will get back to you soon so you can have your piggies and they will have room for some more. :smitten:
